Aputula (Finke)

Finke is located near the South Australian border and surrounded by the pastoral properties of Lilla Creek, Umbeara and New Crown with the Simpson Desert just west of the community. Kulgera is the nearest community and approximately 150km to the west of Finke. The distance to Alice Springs is 420km if traveling via the Stuart Highway or 240km via Titjikala. The community is small with approximately 200 people, however, the population fluctuates a lot. The primary language is yankunytjatjara.
