Nyapari

Nyapari is located in South Australia about 20 km south of the Northern Territory border. It lies approximately 450 km south west of Alice Springs. It is 115 km east of Pipalyatjara and 95 km west of Amata. The people living in Nyapari are mainly Pitjantjatjara people, and itjantjatjara is the main language spoken. Nyapari is 15km away from Kanpi which is another small community. Since both communities are small, there are only basic services which are shared across both communities. Murputja Education Centre was built between the two communities, 9 km east of Kanpi and 6 km west of Nyapari.
