WHAT?

We are committed to improving how data is collected, shared and used in the NPY region. While capturing meaningful, accurate data remains a major challenge, we know that strong data is essential to understanding what’s working, where gaps exist, and how we can best support Aṉangu communities.

HOW?

We are working towards better data systems by building partnerships with governments, service providers and communities to develop culturally relevant ways to collect and use information. This includes advocating for improved access to data, supporting communities to define what success looks like, and exploring ways to co-design indicators that reflect Aṉangu values and priorities.

WHY?

Without the right data, it’s hard to measure progress or ensure accountability. Strengthening data will help us make more informed decisions, direct funding where it’s most needed, and track the real impact of programs over time. Most importantly, it will ensure Aṉangu voices are reflected not only in decisions—but also in how success is defined and measured across the region.
